Information wanted on the whereabouts of
Hildegard Sass.

Missing since 1963.

Hildegard was born on January 31, 1941, in Hamburg, Germany, of Baptist Religion.

Her father was Wilhelm Karl Heinrich Sass, born March 1909.  In 1937 he married Bertha Helene Roetsch.  She was born in 1903.   She died in 1948 of cancer.  Before she died, they had two girls, Rita and Hildegard.  Wilhelm later married Margaretha Barbara Therese Mayr, in 1950.   Then in 1960, she too, died of cancer.

Hildegard, her father, stepmother, and sister, came to Canada in 1954.  They settled in Lethbridge, Alberta.  In 1960 she was living in Calgary at the time when her stepmother died.  She decided to go back to Lethbridge to look after her father.  She worked as a packer for the Catelli Food Products. Then on October 12, 1961, Wilhelm and 3 other men were returning from a slate-roofing job, when the half-ton truck they were riding in, went out of control and rolled off Highway 23, 4 miles south of Carmagay.  Wilhelm was killed instantly.   The funeral service was held in the Bethany Baptist with J.J. Sienens officiating.  Internment was in the Mountain View Cemetery.  After that, Hildegard moved to Vancouver, BC, in 1962.

While in Vancouver she lived at 1400 Robson Street and worked at the Gibbs Tool and Stamping Works.  After 1963, she married and eventually moved to the Fraser Valley area -- Clearbrook, Abbotsford, or Mission.   She has two sons and two daughters.

If anyone has any information on the present where abouts of Hildegard Sass, please contact me as soon as possible, regarding an emergency medical family matter.
